Jefferson Township Police Department Accepting Donations for Griffin Pond Animal Shelter
Let’s help make the homeless, abandoned, abused, and neglected Dogs, Cats, and other shelter animals get a little something for Christmas/ New Year’s.
The Jefferson Township Police Department has dealt with a large number of cases this year involving abused animals. The Jefferson Township community is like no other, I know we can pull together and
help the shelter animals this time of year.
We are collecting dog and cat food (wet & dry), kitty litter, blankets, towels, and other washable bedding. Toys can also be donated. You can also call the shelter at (570) 586-3700 to see what they need. Dynamics change daily for them there. Keeping the animals fed and warm is our priority.
Donations can be dropped off at the Jefferson Township Municipal Building, Monday to Friday 9am to 3pm with the township secretary. You can also arrange for an in-person pickup of your donations by calling
(570) 689-8505 or email: jtpdchief@jeffersontownshippa.com by a police officer.
Donations will be accepted until December 31, 2024.
THANK YOU, CHIEF RICHARD L. BACON II
